Our Process

As our apprenticeship training is delivered on the job, we will communicate with your employer to select a course that is relevant to your job role and level.

80% of the course will be completed on the job, putting your newly developed skills into practice from the offset. The remaining 20% will be spent working closely with your assessor.

Our expert assessors will provide constant support and guidance ensuring you’re confident and comfortable at all times.

As well as your industry specific training, you may also complete free Functional Skills English and Maths courses to increase your confidence and knowledge.

Once you’ve successfully completed the apprenticeship, you’ll achieve your qualification and receive your course certificates.

The knowledge you have gained and the skills you’ve developed during your apprenticeship will improve your workplace performance, job understanding and will help to advance your career.

Depending on the level you have completed, you may be able to progress on to higher levels of the programme.

Course Overview

Sales Information Level 2 (Framework):

The Certificate and Diploma in Sales have been designed to reflect the current and future needs of employers. They develop the knowledge and skills you need for a successful career in the competitive sales environment. This apprenticeship is ideal for anybody starting out in a sales role or wishing to build on existing experience to progress in their career.

This qualification can be tailored to individual employees and demonstrate the specialist sales knowledge and techniques they have developed, including:

  • Time planning.
  • Selling face to face.
  • Buyer behaviour.
  • Decision making.

Technical Certificate Level 2 – (Principles)

This qualification is designed to reflect the current and future needs of employers; it provides a solid grounding in the sales theory and techniques tailored to your organisation. Employees will cover the essential skills and knowledge required to succeed within their role and identify and meet customers’ needs; identify relevant regulatory requirements, apply legislation and adopt ethical behaviour in sales related activities.

The Level 2 qualification covers all the essential principles and techniques of sales, such as:

  • Understanding how to operate in a sales environment.
  • Understanding the techniques and processes for effective selling.
  • Understanding the legal, regulatory and ethical requirements in the sales or marketing environment.
  • Principles of personal responsibilities and working in a business environment.

Optional units are available and reflect your particular organisational requirements. These include:

  • Understand business awareness in sales.
  • Principles of presentations and demonstrations in sales.
  • Principles of selling at trade fairs and exhibitions.

This apprenticeship is ideal for a person progressing in their career, who has significant industry knowledge and experience. At this level, your employees are required to demonstrate greater autonomy in completing tasks, organising activities and contributing to decision making.

Technical Certificate Level 3 – (Principles)

This qualification is designed to reflect the current and future needs of employers; it provides a solid grounding in the sales theory and techniques tailored to your organisation. Assessment Process

Sales Information Level 2 (Framework):

These apprenticeships are assessed through the work completed during the course and submitted in a portfolio of evidence to the course assessor. In order to achieve this qualification, apprentices must demonstrate that they have met the required assessment criteria.

Sales Information Level 3 (Framework):

These apprenticeships are assessed through the work completed during the course and submitted in a portfolio of evidence to the course assessor. In order to achieve this qualification, apprentices must demonstrate that they have met the required assessment criteria.

What's Next?

Once you have successfully completed the course and achieved your qualification, you are able to progress to a further apprenticeship level, such as:

  • Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Management.

Frequently Asked Questions

It wont cost you anything; your apprenticeship-training course will either be largely funded by the government’s co-investment scheme, whereby they pay 95% of the cost, or through the money your employer has already paid into the Apprenticeship Levy scheme. You can advance your career without any money worries or the pressures of student debts.

The average for most apprenticeship courses are 1 year, however depending on the industry and level of qualification they can range from 1-5 years.
